Over the past 8 years Cowtown’s PHXAM has grown to be one of the best industry-focused amateur contests. It is another way for AM’s from all over the world to be seen and get more exposure while having a great time. More than 100 skateboarders from across the globe will compete for more than $8,000 in cash and prizes at Cowtown’s PHXAM Junk Jam on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at the Rio Vista Skate Park in Peoria AZ. The top 40 riders from the qualifying jams on Saturday will skate in the semifinals on Sunday and will be competing for cash purses of $3,000 for 1st place, $2,000 for 2nd place, and $1,000 for 3rd place. All riders will automatically be entered in the Best Trick contest to be held on Sunday after finals. Skullcandy will award a $2500 cash prize to the skateboarder that lands the best trick. Presale tickets will be available for each day at all Cowtown locations and online at www.cowtownskateboards.com for $5. The first 500 spectators through the gates on Saturday and Sunday will receive a free gift bag with a PHXAM t-shirt, magazine, stickers, other freebies from our sponsors, and a ticket for the PHXAM Raffle. The grand raffle prize is a one-year supply of Vans shoes and a custom Vans Fender guitar. Other raffle prizes will include: skateboards, trucks, wheels, backpacks, hats, accessories of all kinds and much more.
